The members of Madrigal met while junior high school students and formed in 1968. Peter Boynton (piano, organ, bass, vocals, keyboards), Rick Henderson (guitar, vocals), Arvo Lepp (lead guitar), Don Simpson (drums, vocals) and John Swainson (guitar, bass, vocals) released the single "I Believe in Sunshine" in 1970 and Sunshine and Baked Beans the same year. After breaking up in 1973, a very changed version of Madrigal re-formed two years later. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:dpfexqq5ldfe~T0
